For about 20 years I have worked in restaurant kitchens — first in Barcelona, then here in Hamburg. So when a guide on this site talks about a tawa that won't heat on induction, or steam from dal turning into mould, it comes from real life, not from a textbook.
Why this site exists
When you move to Germany, the small things are the hard part. Which pot works on this stove? Why is there a black spot on the wall in January? Where do I get diyas before Diwali? Nobody tells you, and the answers you find online are often written for somebody else.
Desii Deals is the site I wish my family had when we started here. Easy English, real answers, no stress.
How we pick things
- We only show things that solve a real problem for desi families in Germany.
- We never show a price. Amazon changes prices all the time, so a price on our page would quickly be wrong. You tap and see today's price on Amazon.de.
- We don't say "best deal ever" or "only today" unless it is true.
- For rules about money, renting or official papers, we check the official German source and link to it.
